First Consultation

I had my first consultation today at Methodist. Saw the psychiatrist, nutritionist and nurse. Had the h.pylori test done. Turned in the paperwork I have gathered so far from my doctors and weight records. I need more paperwork from my pulmonary doctor - OF COURSE! They want my sleep study results. I picked them up on the way home from work.

Having a hard time getting a weight record for all 5 years. I am not a fan of doctors so some years I did not go. I finally remembered we have OSHA-mandated company physicals and I called for my 2003 records. They are in the archives so I hope it doesn't take too long to retrieve them.

Fortunately, my insurance does not require a 3 or 6-month doctor supervised diet. I should have all my paperwork by the end of the week and hopefully it will be submitted to my insurance company next week - I hope so!

I am still hoping to have a surgery date by the end of March/early April. I want to be well enough to travel to our beautiful property in Arkansas to see the dogwoods in bloom in late April. We have only seen them once 2 years ago - the first year we owned the land. We didn't even know it had dogwoods until we visited in the Spring. I was so excited when I saw all the beautiful lacy white trees.

Last year they had a freak late freeze right after the buds set and it knocked all the flowers off the trees before they opened. Hopefully that won't happen this year and I will either not have a surgery date yet or will be far enough past it that we can make the 10 hour drive to stay in our yurt.
