I FINALLY had my consult with Dr. Davis this past Monday (4/21). They have everything they need to file for approval with my insurance ad they said it would take about a week for Dr. Davis to write his own letter to go with my PCP letter and file the paperwork. Now I just wait.......
I asked Dr. Davis about the 5 weeks of radiation and he was unconcerned - he must be very booked up because he seemed to think I would be over it long before I had a surgery date.
I am hoping for a mid-summer or late summer surgery date. Man, at this point I will take THIS YEAR!
I was right - my cancer treatment will be over before I get a surgery date. I am glad I didn't put off going to Dr. Davis until after my radiation was over.
I CANNOT WAIT. It will be soooooo *sweet* to finally get approval and get a surgery date. I know I will be a bit nervous but I bet I am more excited than worried. My cancer diagnosis has made me all the more determined to get this weight off and KEEP it off and get healthy again!!!
