Revisiting WHY I Did This

This was the original list I posted of things motivating me towards WLS. I am one month out and can check a couple off already.
  1. I want to cure my sleep apnea and get rid of my CPAP machine. Done. Don't use it anymore as of 08/15/08.
  2. I want to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol so I don't have to start medication.
  3. I want to enjoy shopping for clothes in the regular depts, not "Plus Sizes"
  4. I want to be able to buy something at Victoria Secrets that fits and enjoy wearing it for my DH.
  5. I want to fit comfortably in an airline seat, stadium seat, theater seat, etc.
  6. I want my feet to quit hurting.
  7. I want to enjoy having my picture taken and not have to hide behind anyone.
  8. I want to be able to tie my shoes and still breathe at the same time. Done - 08/15/08
  9. want to be able to take care of personal hygiene w/o a struggle. Getting there. Propped my foot on the bathroom counter this morning and clipped my toenails w/o a struggle to reach them and could still breathe - woot!
  10. I want to eat to live, not live to eat - no more being a slave to my appetite. Done. 07/15/08. I forget to eat sometimes.
  11. I want to wear high heels again.
  12. I want my knees to quit hurting.
  13. I want to be able to cross my legs w/o pulling at the hem of my jeans to pull my leg up.
  14. I want to be able to tell my DH how much I weigh.
  15. Get my A&M class ring on. I enlarged it once after putting on a few pounds after college and would like to be able to wear it again. I am glad I didn't have it re-sized again.
