Ok, so this liquid diet thing is half over - or almost half over. This time next Sunday will be my last day of full liquids, then I am on clear liquids the Monday before surgery.
It hasn't been too bad. Yes, I have been hungry. Yes, I get tired of the sweet shakes. Yes, I feel weak and grumpy at times. But I have kept busy and kept my mind focused on my upcoming surgery and know that this is but 2 short weeks in the grand scheme of things.
So far, my liquid diet has been:
protein shake at 7:00 am
protein shake at 10:30 am
protein shake at 4:00 pm
Unjury chicken soup protein - 2 cups - 7:00 pm
2 SF popsciles - 7:00 pm
SF jello - 9:00 pm
When I am at home I typically just do 2 shakes since I sleep later and put off my first shake later. On a work day I have one as soon as I get up.
So far I have lost 7 pounds and several inches all over, including 1/2" in my neck - yay!
